Expanding Support, One Class at a Time: What’s New at Brain NW

At Brain NW, our mission has always been clear: to walk alongside individuals and families navigating life after a brain injury. Healing from a brain injury is not a linear journey—it’s complex, deeply personal, and often filled with challenges that go beyond the medical.

That’s why we’re excited to share the next step in our journey: the expansion of our class offerings.

More Support, More Connection, More Healing

Beginning this summer, we’re launching a broader series of classes designed to support every part of life after brain injury. We’ve brought on 10 incredible instructors—each with unique expertise, passion, and lived experience—to lead classes that empower, educate, and connect.

Here’s what’s coming:

🧠 Mental Health & Emotional Support

Classes designed to help manage anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and stress after brain injury. These sessions are grounded in compassion and practical tools.

🏠 Daily Living Skills

Support with everyday challenges like time management, organization, memory strategies, and managing fatigue. These classes build confidence and independence, one step at a time.

🥗 Nutrition for Brain Health

Learn how to fuel your brain for recovery. These classes explore brain-friendly foods, simple meal ideas, and strategies to support energy, focus, and long-term cognitive health.

🎶 Music & the Brain

Tap into the power of rhythm and sound. Music-based classes support mood regulation, memory, speech, and creativity—and most importantly, they offer joy.

🤝 Caregiver Support

Because caregivers are on this journey too. These sessions offer tools for managing burnout, understanding brain injury, and building a network of support.

📚 Education & Information

Learn about the brain, the recovery process, available benefits, and how to advocate for yourself. Knowledge is power—and we want you to feel informed every step of the way.

Why Classes Matter

Recovery from brain injury is not just about medical appointments—it’s about rebuilding a life. Our classes are designed to reduce isolation, restore confidence, and offer practical skills in a supportive environment. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been living with a brain injury for years, there’s a place for you here.

Join Us

We can’t wait to welcome you into one (or many!) of these new classes. Whether you’re a survivor, caregiver, or professional, we believe that healing happens in community—and we’re building that community one class at a time.
