Somatic Workshop: Playfullness
This 90-minute trauma-informed experiential workshop invites participants on a journey of exploration for internal resources of joy and playfulness.
Through gentle embodied practices using mindfulness of the body, guided imagining, and optional objects that are associated with joy or play, participants will begin to explore small places where the body they’re in now feels joyful or playful.
Instead of an educational presentation, this class will focus on exploring the possibility of the body holding even a flicker of joy or play.
In addition to embodied practices, this class will also include space to share and reflect as explorations of joy and play can also bring feelings of grief.
No prior experience is needed, and all participation is by invitation, at each participant’s own pace.
We have the option to use: a mug, slippers, hoodie, favorite sweater (anything you associate with joy, play, or delight)
