Somatic Workshop Exploring Everyday Rituals That Help Your Body Feel Held
This 90-minute trauma-informed experiential workshop invites participants to explore everyday rituals that help the body feel held, secure, or soothed.
Through gentle embodied practices that use mindfulness of the body, guided imagining, optional items associated with the ritual, and optional movement, participants will begin to explore small places where the body they’re in now feels held, secure, or soothed as it joins them in daily activities.
Instead of an educational presentation, this class will focus on exploring the possibility of the body holding small memories of everyday rituals.
In addition to embodied practices, this class will include space to share and reflect, as explorations of everyday rituals can bring up feelings of grief.
No prior experience is needed, and participation is by invitation only, at each participant’s own pace.
We have the option to use: a hoodie, sweater, shoes, coat (anything you associate with everyday rituals)
