Music Therapy and Parkinson’s With Jake Beck
Join Jake Beck, MT-BC, a board-certified and licensed music therapist, in exploring the role of music therapy in supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, with a focus on improving movement, communication, and overall quality of life.
Participants will learn how rhythm, melody, and structured musical interventions can be used to address common Parkinson’s-related challenges such as gait disturbances, speech changes, and reduced coordination. Drawing from evidence-based practices, as well as interactive demonstrations, the session will demonstrate how music can serve as a powerful tool to support and foster engagement, emotional well-being, and social connection for individuals with Parkinson’s.
